"I recently had Matt make a custom set of sticks and matching fife for my use as drum major at Fort Ticonderoga. I am absolutely in love with them! The precision and craftsmanship are as good as anything I've come across in my 34 years of fifing and drumming! Even though the grenadilla sticks are heavy, they are so well balanced they play like my lighter pairs of sticks! They give a good, solid, powerful feel on the drumhead. The matching grenadilla fife is the shorter model with small ferrules. The sound quality is amazing. It is easy to tune, and takes less effort to hit and hold the higher range of notes. I know I'll be using both A LOT in the days to come!”

The intonation is a bit different than my other fife and will take some getting used to, but it will be totally worth it. Your fife is like holding history in my hands, AND PLAYING IT! I'm completely satisfied with it's performance as well. I barely blow and it pops up into the second register with no trouble. Keep up the nice work!"

"I love the variety of woods Glens Falls Fife uses. They have cocobolo, rose wood, purple heartwood, maple, hickory, grenadilla,etc. I love my grenadilla!!!!!! It plays way better than my ********* grenadilla.The sound quality is the best I've heard and it is very easy to hit the very high notes. The sound runs easily and the fife is beautiful. I also love the cocobolo fife. The details in the wood are intriguing. The pricing on the fifes is great. Depending on how serious you are about playing the fife, Glens Falls Fife has all categories. Beginners use maple or hickory. They are priced lower than the other woods. And if your interested in taking fife to the top Glens Falls Fife has grenadilla, rosewood, and cocobolo.

P.S. My personal favorite is the Grenadilla."
